Michael & Dianne Thompson

Michael & Dianne Thompson

Michael writes because he can’t help it. It is an obsession toward sanity; a way of making sense of his world.Framing ideas, forging thoughts and then forming them into words is both craft and compulsion for him.

Growing up in a tight-knit pastor’s home and then spending 20 years of his professional life in teaching ministries, words have been his cocoon since he was a child. Over the past 14 years he has made his living in the marketplace as a trainer for a leading stock market software company—the wild world of Wall Street. Converging the contrasting realms of church and commerce has given him a unique perspective.

It has also birthed an unquenchable passion: to see life as it is transformed into life as it should be. The longing of his soul is to find and live in the design, desires and delight of the Father is the unmistakable fire that kindles his writing.

Michael has a dusty degree in Biblical Education; plays piano and sings; loves to cook and reads voraciously. He is joyfully married to the love of his life, Dianne, and together they have three grown children and a growing gaggle of grandchildren. Dianne has been a teacher of young children for nearly 25 years. She loves to garden, decorate her home, and most of all, be with her children and grandchildren.
